The much-awaited process of mutual transfer of teachers from one district to another in basic schools in the state was completed on Wednesday. The Basic Education Department released the list of mutual transfer of 2796 teachers found eligible under this. However, there is resentment among the teachers due to the order of transfer from one school to another. They say that this will break the pairs of teachers. Because they will not accept the transfer.
The process of mutual transfer was started by the department in June 2023. But due to some reasons it could not be completed. The department, after completing the long process, on Wednesday released the list of 2796 teachers found eligible for transfer from one district to another. The department has uploaded their list on the portal and has instructed all BSAs to get them joined and relieved as per the rules.
Basic Education Council Secretary Surendra Tiwari has directed that both the teachers who have been transferred mutually should be relieved from duty and confirmed by taking charge together. He has said that the mutual transfers have been done from rural area to rural area and from urban area to urban area. If the promotion process of teachers of that batch has not been done in the district to which the transfer has been done, then such teachers should not be relieved from duty. The transfer process of teachers will be done through Manav Sampada Portal.
Order to transfer from school to school, anger among teachers
In the order issued by the department, it is said that in mutual transfer, the teacher will come from one school and the other teacher will go to the same school (transfer will be from school to school). There is resentment among the teachers about this. They say that when mutual transfers took place in January, first the teachers were sent to the district, then the school was allotted. Due to the change in this process, many teachers will not take the transfer. Nirbhay Singh, Vice President of Uttar Pradesh Primary Teachers Association, said that there is no instruction anywhere in the government order of June 2 that the transfer will be from school to school. By doing this, the possibility of this process going to the court has also increased. At the same time, Basic Education Council Secretary Surendra Tiwari said that it has been simplified as per the system given in the government order. This will save time and the chances of irregularities will also be reduced.
